Jesus Was A Camper
Field Guides
Take the kids outside. We'll handle the rest.
Short, ready-to-go outings that get your family outdoors, paying attention, and bumping into God in the middle of it — no lesson plan, no craft supplies, no clue required.
Here's the honest pitch. You don't have to be outdoorsy. You don't have to know a single tree by name. You don't have to prep anything the night before. You pull up an outing on your phone, walk out the back door, and read a few lines out loud. That's the whole job.
Every outing runs the same simple way — you gather the kids, you go do one hands-on thing outside, you notice what you found, you open up a bit of Scripture that fits, and you carry one small thing home. Little kids and big kids, same idea, pitched right for their age. Nobody gets left out and nobody gets talked down to.
- Nothing to buyEverything happens with what's already in your yard. Pack a pencil and something to write on once, and you're set for good.
- Nothing to fall behind onNo week 1, no week 12, no streak to break. Open any outing, any season, any day. You're never behind because there's no line to be behind in.
- Yours to keepSave any outing as a PDF and it's yours forever — print it, save it, use it in ten years.
- Made for real familiesBaby on your hip, mixed ages, fifteen minutes before dinner. These were built for that, not for a classroom.
Who's behind this
I'm a guy from Arkansas with a doctorate in education and a deep suspicion of anything that feels like school. I grew up in the Bible Belt and nobody ever handed me a Bible or took me outside to wonder about any of it. These guides are the thing I wish somebody had handed my family growing up. No experts. No academics coming at you. Just a way outside, together.
